John Ventimiglia

The Treasurer keeps the financial records and is the custodian of the Chapter funds. The treasurer leads the AUSA GLAC finance committee as well as overseeing the Chapter’s annual budget.

John Ventimiglia manages the close out and commissioning of solar energy projects for the Ventures wing of Phantom Works within The Boeing Company, the growth engine for Boeing. John recently transitioned as the leader of Strategic Development; where he was responsible for strategy integration within the Phantom Works concentrating on Experimentation, Analysis and Visualization in support of the advanced business units. Previous responsibilities included supporting Boeing Defense Systems new business pursuits in the areas of Cyber Security and Energy. Prior to that John was responsible for the integration of external customer needs with internal customer capabilities at the Boeing Customer Engagement Center in Suffolk, Virginia. The Customer Engagement Centers are facilities used to provide an environment in which Boeing and its customers can collaborate to create experiments, identify problems and make the transition from developing concepts. The goal is to identify potential solutions using products and services that meet the customer’s needs.

Prior to these assignments, John served as the Chief of Staff to the President of Boeing’s Advanced Systems Division, supporting day-to-day operations of the business unit.

John joined Boeing in 1989 as an Engineer working in the Guidance, Navigation & Controls Group on the Space Shuttle Program. John was shortly promoted to Lead Engineer for the Solid Rocket Booster Separation Analysis Group.

After working ten years on the Space Shuttle program, John transitioned out of Engineering to become part of the management staff, assuming the position of Information Technology (IT) Manager. John took on responsibility for all IT assets at the Boeing Huntington Beach site. John later moved into Business Operations where he was responsible for the daily business operations for a number of senior executives.

John also serves on the Executive board for the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of United States Army (AUSA GLAC) as the Treasurer.

John obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University at Pomona, California and his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle University.
