Your generous contribution to the Association of the United States of America,
Greater Los Angeles Chapter (AUSA-GLAC) supports year-round programs and initiatives we offer veterans and military families in need. As good stewards of your donations, we follow clear guidelines in processing your gifts.
Gift Policy Standards
All donations to AUSA-GLAC support the AUSA-GLAC mission as outlined below
To promote, execute and advocate readiness programs for all three Army components within our area of responsibility (Active, Guard and Reserve) as well as their families,
To support retirees and non-active Soldiers
To create opportunities for Army and Army-related Industry dialog,
To advocate public awareness of Army and national security issues,
To maintain an outreach program to national leadership on critical issues pertinent to the Army community within the greater Los Angeles area. This enhances the Army’s ability to perform its role in national security, homeland security, and humanitarian response,
To provide an outreach channel the results in community engagement, and
To support both Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Battalions and mission within our AOR as well the Junior ROTC (JROTC) educational programs.
AUSA-GLAC manages a number of fundraising initiatives with local programs to make every donated dollar go further for veterans and military families in need throughout the greater Los Angeles area. We will carefully consider the needs of the associations and individuals we support and will use your gift where we determine it is most needed, so that all donations may directly and indirectly help support veterans and military families in need in your area. When processing each gift, we will follow documented AUSA-GLAC business rules and agreements, the Donor’s Bill of Rights, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles standards.
AUSA-GLAC will not accept any restrictions on use of donations less than $10,000; however, if you specifically request at the time of donation that funds be distributed to an accredited Program we will honor such request so long as distribution does not conflict with other AUSA-GLAC policies. If AUSA-GLAC cannot honor a donor’s designation request for a gift of $10,000 or more, the gift will be forwarded to the appropriate local Program or returned to the donor. Third parties to a donation may not change the original designation of a gift. AUSA-GLAC may refuse any gift that does not sufficiently benefit the organization, is in conflict with the AUSA-GLAC’s mission, puts the reputation of AUSA-GLAC at risk or is prohibited by law.
